We have recently returned to Vienna after a 6 month stay in the United States. In the summer of 2009 we experienced and saw so many things that it is almost overwhelming! We started the summer out by traveling with Lance's family to San Antonio and our long time dream of going to Sea World! We then traveled to Denver and then all the way to New Hampshire to be with Carrie's parents and family. On the way we stopped to see Niagra Falls. Then we camped in Cape Cod and ate sea food! We then finally settled in Amarillo, Texas to go school. It was difficult for us to adjust to American life at first, but we found our way through reverse culture shock and it was so wonderful to be near our family! It also such good timing to be there for awhile after our 6 month battle with Carrie's cancer. After all we had been through, it was nice to get away and spend time resting and recovering from treatment. The following are photos of the highlights. We hope to keep up with the blog better, now that we are in Vienna.

Vienna Team Retreat/Fall 2008

On our hike we found a dead mole yuck!
The kids and Mal decided to put the mole in a "pose" for the camera.
The kids then buried him and paid their respects.
